Reviews however do not always cover exactly how the Sea Eagle 330 performs and tend to just cover the good points. In this review I will cover all the features of this inflatable kayak, including the good and the bad, so you can make a decision as to whether the Sea Eagle 330 is for you or not.

Sea Eagle 330 – Lightweight & Easy To Carry
The main reason for buying an inflatable kayak in the first place is that you want to have a canoe that is lightweight and will be light for you to carry to the waters edge from your car.
The Sea Eagle will not let you down in respect of this as it only weights 26lbs, so can be carried to the waters edge by one adult. In view of it being very light, compared to others on the market, it will actually hold up to 500 lbs and carry 2 adults.
You Can Go Anywhere
The Sea Eagle 330 is really quite neat, as it will deflate down to fit into a storage bag about the size of a large sleeping bag, and can then be put into the smallest of cars for carrying.
The thing I like about this inflatable kayak is that it can be used for many different uses:

When you think of any inflatable boat, you immediately think of a boat that is not very robust and could easily become damaged on and off the water. Well the Sea Eagle 330 is not at all like this!
This inflatable kayak is very robust and this all starts with the construction methods used.
- The Sea Eagle 330 features an extra thick 33 ml Polykylar hull – for added strength & protection
- There is an I-beam construction floor for extra rigidity
- The seams are welded with 10,000 volts of power which fuses the material into one solid and strong structure.

But Is It Stable?
The next thing to consider is the stability of the inflatable kayak. Is it going to be stable in the water or in windy conditions, when it could easily be ‘blown’ off course. You must be able to track smoothly across the water without all your efforts being wasted.
The majority of all the ‘cheaper’ inflatable kayaks do not have any rear skegs which results in the kayak wandering and weaving across the water.
Is It Easy To Inflate & Store?
In order for an inflatable kayak to prove its worth, it must be able to be inflated and deflated within a short period of time, so you can spend the majority of your day enjoying your kayak to the full. If it takes ages to inflate and deflate, then I’m sure you would question whether it is worth the effort.
Although the instructions state that it can be inflated within 6 minutes, I have found that on average the Sea Eagle 330 takes around 10 minutes to completely inflate and set up. It takes about the same time to deflate. I’m sure, as you get more used to it, you could do this within 6 minutes, which means that you can spend more time enjoying this kayak in the water where it belongs.
Once deflated, it will fit into its carrier which is about the size of a large sleeping bag. The carrier will easily fit into the trunk of your car, and can be stored in your house or garage without taking up much room.
